Recruiting Drive and General News.
The Keshik and Clan Council of Clan Blood Spirit has ended our participation in NBT MW4 leagues. This Clan is now participating in MWLL (Mechwarrior Living Legends) a combined arms Mod of Crysis Wars and is awaiting the full release of Mechwarrior Online (MWO), currently in production. We will participate in any new planetary league that involves either game. We are also recruiting new sibko to fill our ranks in anticipation of said planetary league incarnations of Mechwarrior. You can find us playing most nights in servers for MWLL to keep our skills honed, so join us to see if you fit in with the warrior caste of Clan Blood Spirit.

Awarding Of The Blooding Medal:
Today the Keshik awarded Star Colonel Trooper Thorn The Blooding Medal for actions in defense of our Khan Gremlich Johns on York II Prime against recent tactical actions by the Minnesota Tribe. Following is the citation as awarded.
The Citation reads as follows.
The Blooding Medal is hereby bestowed upon Star Colonel Trooper Thorn for his actions during the defense of the MT raids on York II of 01.20.3072.
Trooper Thorn did sacrifice himself in defense of his Khan, reaching Gremlich Johns position soonest and rendering him support and driving away his attackers while in great peril to his personal safety. His actions helped preserve Khan Gremlich Johns "Warthog" battlemech long enough to give us the final victory.
By Order Of the Keshik, and for the Greater Glory Of Clan Blood Spirit.
Star Colonel Thorn's response when awarded this decoration was, "It is with great humility that I accept this decoration in the honor of all the warriors and citizens of Clan Blood Spirit who are more deserving of this decoration than I am, for all I was doing was executing my duty."

This reporter has been informed that within the next week or so that one of this reporter’s favorite and most colorful other than of course saKhan Jahziel, mechwarrior Star Captain Trooper Thorn is returning aboard the Clan Blood Spirit Battle Cruiser Blood Vengeance. Star Captain Thorn has been on a long term assignment by direct orders of the Khan, there is much speculation as to the nature of this assignment and the course however, this reporter has been assured by those in highest authority that it was an assignment that he was uniquely suited for. This reporter finds that this statement does not clarify anything but as with Star Captain Thorn himself, quite a bit of his life is shrouded in a mystery wrapped with an enigma.
I have interviewed a few of his fellow warriors and some of the normal citizenry that are familiar with Star Captain Thorn such as the Blood and Guts Bar and Grill owner and former Master Tech Ryan “Buzzy” Malone. Harold Riviera: Question: Buzzy have you heard that Star Captain Thorn is on his way back to York? Buzzy Malone: Answer: Really? That is great news; my business always quadruples when Star Captain Thorn and his crews are in town. Even when the saKhan is with him we might get a bit of damage because of the raucous nature of the celebrations by the saKhan and Star Captain Thorn never-the-less, Trooper always insures that all such damages are taken care of promptly and usually with great heaping tips for all my employees and myself. Harold Riviera Question: Trooper? Buzzy Malone: Answer: Yes, Trooper, he is a close friend and part owner of this establishment; he saved me from going under after the Lyran attempt to take this planet. Harold Riviera: How unusual, a warrior who cares for and takes care of the little guys and gals of Clan Blood Spirit! “Buzzy” Malone: Not only that but also he has made sure that all the employees have had anything that they or their families needed and the people of this area of the city during the reconstruction after the Lyran’s attempted invasion.
Harold Riviera: How marvelous he indeed is an unusual warrior. Buzzy Malone: You just said a mouthful me boyo! Harold Riviera laughing: I see that he has infected you with his quaint colloquialisms. (Camera shows Buzzy with a wide grin on his face.)
(Camera zooms in on Harold Riviera) "I can see that if I continue this story that there will be many more accolades for this now great and historic warrior and that the news cast will never end. I end this segment with an interview of Sarah Connors the new head of weapons development and former Innersphere citizen of the Lyran commonwealth." Harold Riviera: "Lead Scientist of Weapons Development - Ms. Connors, have you heard that Star Captain Thorn is on his way back from his latest assignment?" Sarah Connors: Yes, I spoke with him about a week ago by personal message link. Harold Riviera: How do you know the Star Captain? Sarah Connors: "Yes, he is a dear and personal friend, one who saved me from a life of terror, anger and ignominity - he restored my sanity, life, faith in humanity and finally with an act of ultimate kindness and mercy, my husband, whom I thought I had lost many years ago during the original Clan Invasions of the pathetic Innersphere oligarchies. They that have been the death of billions of innocent victims in their ruthless quest for power and domination over each other in a fecklessly vain quest to become the next First Lord of the Star League, that has only spiraled humanity into a dark age of stupidity and endless cycles of war and destruction." Harold Riviera: (surprised look on his face) "I see that your allegiance is now to this Clan." Sarah Connors: (intense look and fire in her eyes) Yes and no, my allegiance is to Khan Gremlich Johns and Star Captain Thorn -- they lifted me out of despair and gave me a new lease on life showing me the true purpose of the Clans, or at least Clan Blood Spirit which is now my home and life. I have no further comments." (Camera shows Sarah Connors turn and walking back into the CBS Materiel R&D building, a very large elemental places herself between Sarah Connors and Harold Riviera) Elemental Star Commander Daisy Cluff announced, "This interview is over, please leave the premises." Harold Riviera: "Aye, aye, Star Commander Cluff.( Harold Riviera turns and looks into the camera and says) It is apparent that Khan Gremlich Johns has given great importance to Ms. Connors and her work by assigning a senior Clan Blood Spirit Elemental with an exclusive Blood name as her head of security. Well, ladies and gentlemen of Clan Blood Spirit, it appears that this is all I need. My respect and best wishes for a safe return and good journey to Star Captain Thorn whom we will no doubt be hearing a great deal more about in the future. Clan Blood Spirit Training Command
Announcement of completion of Trial of Entry
July 20th
General News Release:
The Clan Blood Spirit training command announces that this past evening sibko Phoenixwolf stood for his Trial of Entry. The sibko chose the Coliseum training grounds to take his trial along with choosing the Stormcrow Chassis as the mech to use for said trial. After Oathmaster Nekhron Kirov called proceedings to order he commanded the three Blooding officers light, medium and heavy along with the sibko to proceed to nav center.
Oathmaster Kirov ordered the three Blooding officers to crouch their mechs then Oathmaster Kirov read the Trial of Entry protocol and remembrance. After which he asked the sibko if he was ready and to choose the blooding officer by mech chassis that he would first engage and he chose Blooding Officer Light in a Jenner IIc. Both Blooding Officer Light and sibko Phoenixwolf were ordered to withdraw to 1000 meters from nav center and to prepare for call to engage to be given. Blooding officers Medium and Heavy remained crouched at nav center with the order given if at any time they received weapons fire to their mechs during the trial a grand melee would ensue immediately.
Both parties reached their designated start point and after Oathmaster Kirov received ready from both the sibko and Blooding Officer Light he called Engage, Engage and Engage! Both the sibko and the Blooding Officer approached each other in a cautious manner trying to determine the best form of attack. They used one of the arches as temporary cover to get within brawling range. Blooding officer light drew first blood with a volley of missile and laser fire, quickly being returned with CAC10, missile and laser fire from the Stormcrow. The engagement started at medium range and deteriorated into the circle of death. Blooding Officer Light caused heavy damage to his opponent before the sibko overcame his adversary with the combination of his heavier weapons and tactics ending with Blooding Officer Light loosing his mount.
The Keshik and entirety of Clan Blood Spirit congratulates Mechwarrior Phoenixwolf upon his successful completion of his Trial of Entry, good luck and good hunting in all your future endeavors.

Late in the evening hours on April 10th,
Harold Riviera Reporting…
It has been a hard fought victory; I stand here among the wreckage that once was vangard of the attack force of the Federated Suns. The greatest House of the Innersphere mistakenly attacked what they perceived was the easiest target of all the Clans. They paid for their arrogance dearly with the blood of their warriors and the loss of many front line battle mechs. As it was last year when the Lyrans made the same grievous tactical error, all the Fed Suns did was deliver into Clan Blood Spirit's hands new models of mechs for us to study and find upgrades and counter measures for, without us having to go "acquire" them.
We would like to take the time to thank our allies who were on planet for training and familiarization with CBS tactics and equipment. They bid for the honor of fighting against the Fed Sun surat since they were already on planet. Elements of the 88th Armored CAV cluster, the Crimson Tigers, 7th Blood Drinkers Cluster and the 112th Scarlet Battle Cluster along with the planetary garrison fought the Fed Suns to a stand still, decimating the intruders with predominately second-line mechs. I stand here upon this charred piece of ground next to a destroyed Innersphere Assault mech, what the IS calls a Cyclops - its cockpit shot through by PPC fire and the charred remains of the pathetic corpse but ashes frosting the remains of the pilot's seat - the mech's sensor, like an eye looking up at the pitiful remnant of the Fed Sun’s drop ship force limping back into space upon pillars of fire. The warriors of all units involved are claiming bondsmen from the survivors and Isorla trophies.
This should serve as a warning to all those who believe the Blood Spirits easy prey. Though the smallest of the Clans - to confuse this with our ability to defend our people and ourselves could be one's undoing. The Outworlds Alliance is presently fighting to secure Arcadia II I, may the news of this defeat encourage them to retreat while they can.

Trial of Position:
Last night on the Badlands training grounds, Mechwarrior SteelDeath stood for his Trail of Position. Choosing a Timberwolf B, Mechwarrior SteelDeath chose a load out of CUAC’s, and missiles. SteelDeath then chose drop zone 1, which gave him tactical advantage of the high ground and gave him an unimpeded view of all avenues of attack to be used by the Trial Officer. Mechwarrior SteelDeath chose Trial Officer 3, who, unbeknownst to him, piloted a Cauldron Born. When the engage command was given, SteelDeath advanced to just behind the crest of the hill and waited for his quarry to come into weapons range.
At 1100 meters, SteelDeath opened fire with his Cuac’s. The Trial Officer continued to advance and moved within rage of SteelDeath’s missiles. Finding cover at Nav center, the Trial Officer waited for SteelDeath to advance and come within his own weapons range. A brawl ensued, after heavy exchanges of weapons fire the CB detonated ejecting the Trial Officer to safety but doing severe splash damage to SteelDeath’s Timberwolf. Unable to proceed due to the damage to his Mech, he ended his trial at this point after attaining the rank of Star Commander.
The Training Cadre, Keshik along with all of Clan Blood Spirit congratulates Star Commander SteelDeath and wishes him good fortune and good hunting.

Trial of Entry:
Last night in the coliseum training grounds, sibkin Jetfire and Ice Serpent stood for their Trial of Entry. Sibkin Jetfire and Ice Serpent both chose the Stormcrow chassis to take their trial. Three Blooding officers in three weight classes light, medium and heavy and one Blooding witness in an assault entered the coliseum for the trial. Sibko Jetfire chose Blooding officer light in a Cougar and Oathmaster Kirov ordered the combatants to retire 600 meters from Nav center and prepare for orders to engage.
The remaining Blooding officers were ordered to crouch and shutdown with the stipulation that if they were fired upon at anytime by either of the combatants that a grand melee would ensue. Under the rules of Zellbriggen, the order to engage was given. Using the arches as cover, sibko Jetfire engaged the light blooding officer and after a brutal slugging match destroyed the cougar with a mix of energy, AC and missile fire. Oathmaster Kirov called halt. Mechwarrior Jetfire was asked if he wished to continue to which he replied, “Neg Oathmaster” The trial of entry for Jetfire concluded.
After the arena was cleared of debris the next Sibko challenger for TOE, sibko Ice Serpent entered the coliseum. Sibko Ice Serpent chose Blooding officer Medium in a Stormcrow and Oathmaster Kirov ordered the combatants to retire 600 meters from Nav center and prepare for orders to engage. Order to engage given, both warriors advanced to Nav center and engaged in another vicious slugfest with Ice Serpent coming out on top. Oathmaster Kirov called halt and asked Mechwarrior Ice Serpent if he wished to proceed - “Aff Oathmaster” was his response, a courageous act perhaps, with his weapons intact and fully operational, his mech was in critical condition.
The next opponent chosen was blooding officer light in a Cougar. Oathmaster Kirov then ordered engage. Both contestants opened fire and both warriors took damage. The battle was quick and despite prior damage to his mech, the engagement ended in victory for Mechwarrior Ice Serpent, advancing him in grade to Star Commander.
The Training Cadre, Keshik, along with all of Clan Blood Spirit welcomes Star Commander Ice Serpent and Mechwarrior Jetfire to the ranks of the Clan Blood Spirit Warrior Caste and wish them good fortune and good hunting.

Recent raids upon CBS worlds:
Bold, long way from home units from the Circinus Federation recently visited mech raids upon the Blood Spirit home worlds. These mech raids were quickly swept aside by the 88th Armored Cavalry Cluster led by our stalwart Oathmaster Nekhron Kirov. This recently formed unit has been absorbing newly blooded mechwarriors and is operating the training and familiarization cadres that train allied units with CBS tactics and protomech use.
Some warriors from different units won bids to be allowed participation in the raids such as Star Adders, Snow Ravens and others. The Keshik thanks these warriors for their honor, courage and mettle in defending the York System from attack by these Surat interlopers. By the equipment recovered, it was apparent after scientific caste examination, that the front line mechs such as Lyran Hauptman chassis, older Awesome Chassis and some Clan chassis; the CF has IS benefactors using them as minions to attempt to disrupt CBS operations and perhaps gain some important technological and tactical Intel. Perhaps myths of the stealth technology Conjuror has brought them here
All these Periphery citizens gained were the business end of our weapons. The Keshik’s response is reportedly a very bemused attitude, if the Inner Sphere is willing to stoop to using Periphery allies such a long way from their homeworlds, they must be in very desperate straits. Our congratulations go out to the warriors under the command of the 88th.

Today the Keshik awarded Star Colonel Zechs The Kerensky Cluster 1st Award for actions in defense of Strana Mechty A against recent tactical actions by the Minnesota Tribe. Following is the citation as awarded.
"For skill in defending the Clan Blood Spirit enclave on Strana Mechty A, the Blood Spirit keshik bestows the Kerensky Cluster 1st award to Star Colonel Zechs. He displayed artful tactical judgment in forcing assets of the Minnesota Tribe off planet. The transgressors departed Strana Mechty space after transmitting a "Well Met!" message to the planet's defenders, in particular, the defending force commander. That commander, Star Colonel Zechs', employed tactics and skillful outfitting of the mechs and selection of pilots for the successful defensive actions on the southern continent, demonstating the right judgment of those who have groomed him for command. May his skill be as definitive during our liberation of the Inner Sphere. Praise the Great Father."

Last night on the coliseum training grounds on York II H, sibko August of the Church genetic legacy call sign "Doombot," piloting a Stormcrow, stood at the ready for his Trial of Entry. Four Blooding officers - one mech from each of the four weight classes - and three Blooding witnesses entered the coliseum for the trial. The witness officers’ shutdown their mechs along the walls of the arena while the blooding officers and sibko August met at arena center. Sibko August chose Blooding Officer light - a Kitfox - as his opponent. Oathmaster Kirov ordered the combatants to retreat to 600 meters from arena center and prepare for the order to engage.
The remaining Blooding Officers were ordered to crouch and shutdown on the arena platform with the stipulation that if they were fired upon at anytime, by either of the combatants, a grand melee would ensue. Under the rules of Zellbringen, the order to engage was given. Employing the arches as cover, sibko August, call sign "Doombot," engaged the Blooding Officer at medium range with missile fire. After softening up the Kitfox, sibko August charged in and engaged in a short close range battle circling an arch and handily defeated the chosen Blooding Officer. Oathmaster Kirov called halt and awarded the position of "Mechwarrior" to sibko August.
The Keshik, the Training Cadre, along with all of Clan Blood Spirit, welcomes Mechwarrior "Doombot" to the ranks of the Blood Spirit Warrior Caste and wishes him good fortune and good hunting.
